Today we continued in our Rooted In Warfare miniseries and Pastor Chris brought a powerful and informative message about the Armor or God. He taught that you can’t fight with a weapon you don’t know how to use. We must study and apply the Word of God to be prepared for the battlefield ahead. 

Peace is not the absence of problems; it’s the presence of Jesus. How will you walk in peace, prepared for the battle head this week?

We kicked off part 18 in our Rooted series with a powerful lesson in warfare. Pastor Chris taught that the war is real, the enemy has a strategy, and that we fight FROM victory.

Honor is the currency of the Kingdom.

For the last part in our miniseries on being Rooted in Honor, Pastor Chris Tomlinson brought a powerful message from Ephesians 6. He taught that our work and our leadership are part of our witness. Your workplace is a mission field, and your work ethic is either drawing people to Christ or pushing them away.

As we head into a new week, how will your work and your leadership reflect your witness?

Honor in the home creates an atmosphere of honor where our children thrive.

Today we had the privilege of hearing from one of our senior pastors, Jodi Tomlinson. She taught a powerful message about honor in the home. We learned that discipline honors the child, because it honors their heart. It’s easier to train a child than to change a man.

If you use the strength of your leadership now, you can use the strength of your relationship later. How will you choose to lead in your home today?

Honor is a choice, not a feeling.

Pastor Chris continued in our Rooted series today with a lesson on what it means to show honor from Ephesians chapter 5. He taught that honor starts in the heart, elevates others, and reflects Christ. Honor creates an atmosphere where growth can happen.

We live in a culture of dishonor but you don’t have to live that way. Resentment will always lead to dishonor but Biblical honor doesn’t operate on conditions - it operates on covenant. How will you choose to show honor this week?

Wisdom determines your direction.

Pastor Chris continued in our Rooted series today with a powerful message about being rooted in wisdom. He taught that wisdom isn’t automatic, about intelligence, or about experience alone. Wisdom is about learning to see life from God’s perspective. It’s not about what happens to you, but what you do with what happens to you.

You’ll never walk in wisdom if you’re not willing to walk in humility. Are you willing to take that step toward humility today?

You can’t shine light if you’re still hiding in the shadows.

We continued in our Rooted series today with a message about being Rooted In Light. Pastor Chris taught that light exposes what’s hidden, guides our path, and transforms our identity. 

You weren’t created to blend in with the darkness - you were created to shine in it. How will you live in that truth today?

Generosity is about living with open hands because you’ve experienced the open heart of God.

Pastor Chris brought a powerful message today about the eternal importance of generosity. He taught that generosity begins with love, reflects God’s character, rejects greed, comes from a grateful heart, and redeems the time. Every moment spent in generosity is an eternal investment.

Gratitude turns what we have into enough and overflows into generosity. How will you live in generosity this week?

Holiness is about being set apart for God.

Pastor Chris continued in our Rooted series this morning with a lesson in holiness. We learned that holiness begins with reverence for God, requires obedience, demands purity, cultivates love, and produces power. It changes everything about the way that we live and relate to other people.

Holiness isn’t just something that God calls us to, it’s who He is. How will you walk in holiness this week?

As long as you’re holding onto the old self, you’ll never experience the new life God has for you.
