Pastor Daniel continued in our series on Disciple Making with a convicting message on authentic community and what it means for our growth as believers. We are commanded by God to be part of community and the road to your specific role in the Body of Christ is found in belonging to authentic community.

Becoming Mature Followers of Christ (Daniel Sutton)

The marching orders for every follower of Christ is to Make Disciples.

In week 2 of our series on Disciple Making, Pastor Daniel brings a strong message on what it means to be a disciple and how important it is to follow Jesus so closely that we begin to look like Him. The original disciples were willing to die for Jesus! Can’t we at least start truly living in obedience for Him? 

Advancing the Kingdom (Pastor Jodi Tomlinson)

Maturity Multiplies. 

 

Pastor Jodi kicked off our church-wide study on Disciple-making with a message on the vision, core values, and mission of Destiny Church entitled "Advancing the Kingdom". If the Spirit of God is in you, you will bear His fruit and His fruit multiplies. The transference of this fruit is called disciple-making.

The Charging Bull and the Rising Sun (Pastor Jodi Tomlinson)

Wherever you are right now, it is not the end of the story.

Pastor Jodi kicks off our New Year with a message entitled "The Charging Bull and the Rising Sun" where she encourages us to minister to God in the ways outlined in scripture. 

Journey To Hope (Eric Carter)

Failure to persevere leads to a perpetual state of suffering. 

Eric Carter brought an incredible message on suffering and the journey we take through it. We all walk through various types of suffering throughout our lives and by comparing ours to that of others, we miss out on the opportunity to see God work. 

Learning From Sorrow (Dr. Mitch Arbeláez)

When we walk with sorrow there are things that are learned and solidified in our spirit

Elder and longtime Destiny Church member, Dr. Mitch Arbeláez, brings a message on learning from the quiet companion of sorrow. After losing his wife of 30 years in August of 2021, he has learned great lessons on the nature of eternity and the world we find ourselves passing through. 

If being in the presence of Jesus is not enough to satisfy everyone of us then Heaven would be miserable and we would all be fools.

Foundations (JD Small)

The depth and strength of the foundation determines the structure that can be built. 

In "Foundations", guest speaker JD Small continues in our Building Your Life On Values That Last series by discussing the importance of Scripture.

Questions to ask yourself about scripture:

• Is it a filter for your decision?

• Do you bend scripture around your life or your life around scripture?

• Is it a lifestyle or emergency use only?

If you want the rights of sons and daughters you cannot abandon the responsibilities of sons and daughters. That includes reading the Bible and doing what it says.

Respect

The way we get others to show us respect is by showing respect to others first.

Pastor Chris continued in our "Building Your Life On Values That Last" series with a message on respect because God wants us to show it to others regardless of whether they show us respect in return. The most respected people are the most respectful people. Those that show it and receive it.

Faithfulness (Pastor Jodi Tomlinson)

Jesus is the answer, but He must be applied daily.

This week, our "Building Your Life On Values That Last" series continues with a timely message from Pastor Jodi on everyday faithfulness. We cannot inherit a strong relationship with God from our parents or grandparents. God has no grandchildren. So, it is up to each individual person to choose Him every day on our own in order to establish true, personal connection with God. 

The Value of Balance

Healing is the recovery of balance to the body.

 

In "The Value of Balance", Pastor Chris addresses our tendency for burnout directly by call it for what it is: a values issue. If we find that our life is falling apart, we have a faulty center. You have just enough time in the day to do God's will. Don't push yourself past what He has for you because He will always be enough.
