How you live matters.

This week, Pastor Chris brought an incredibly powerful message about what it looks like to truly love those that don’t share the same faith that we do. In Colossians 4:5, Paul calls them “outsiders”. 

The reason many people don’t go to church is because they either don’t know a Christian or they do. How will you represent Christ this week?

It is in the place of prayer that we are changed.

This week we are back to our Unhindered series and Pastor Chris brought a timely message about prayer to kick off 2024! He taught that prayer isn't an expression of sympathy. It is an active engagement with the God of the universe. Everyone wants to be clothed in power but no one wants to be stripped of self.

We don't need more systems, programs, or events. We need more prayer.

How will you increase your prayer life this week?

Faith doesn’t make things easy, it just makes them possible!

On New Year's Eve, Pastor Chris brought a challenging message about change. In order to see change through to the finish line, you’ve got to have a “no excuse” mindset, be committed to prayer, make the break with things that do not serve you in becoming more like Christ, and put on the new life in Him. 

Change is a discipline before it becomes a delight. Will you stick with it long enough for the former to turn into the latter? 

Jesus is present, accessible, and relevant to our lives today!

On Christmas Eve, Pastor Chris brought a powerful message about the greatest gift any of us could dream of this Christmas. The greatest gift you’ll ever receive isn’t the one wrapped and placed under a tree, but the one that was first wrapped in swaddling clothes and later hung upon a different kind of tree: the cross.

This week we welcomed longtime friend of Destiny Church, Pastor JD Small!

Christmas represents the age-old hope and expectation of the coming King. Jesus’ birth signaled the end of the law, division, and the reign of sin in the ancient world. The Pharisees and Saducees missed Jesus because they refused to believe anything other than the Law was possible. 

We live with hope when we live with Jesus. Will you choose hope today?

Everything we do we do should be done out of service for the Lord.

Pastor Chris brought a powerful message today about what it means to be a servant of God. If we interpret scripture with scripture, we discover that at the mention of being a “servant”, He is asking us to surrender to the wholeness and fullness of His goodness. God is concerned with the condition of our hearts because when your heart’s not right, it’s a matter of time before you quit.

In what area of your life do you need to see God move today? He is waiting with open arms. 

The world’s way of thinking will rob you of the life that God has purposed.

In part 15 of our Unhindered series, Pastor Chris brought a powerful word about proper authority. In the Bible, it’s a choice that is made out of respect and trust, not coercion. It’s a mutual partnership that brings harmony.

How you treat those around you will either cause them to be bitter or better. What will you choose today?

An unhindered life in Christ is characterized by a heart that is saturated with His Word, a commitment to living out our faith in all we do, and an attitude of continuous thanksgiving.

In the 14th part of our Unhindered series, Pastor Chris brought an incredible message about gratitude and God's Word from Colossians 3:16-17. Gratitude causes our perspective to be in proper alignment and it is the fuel that powers our unhindered Christian life.

How will you choose to display gratitude today?

Repentance means that we change the way we think, which will in turn change how we live.

In the latest part in our Unhindered series, Pastor Chris taught on the peace of God and how it should direct the way we live. Peace doesn’t exempt us from the challenges, but it guards us in the midst of them.

How will you shift your thinking this week to be lead by the peace of God instead of your own understanding?

God's Word doesn't just give us the right way to live, but it's also the best way to live.

Pastor Chris brought a powerful message today about God's Word, community, and accountability. He said that vulnerability is part of the process of becoming the people God has called us to be and that there is no substitute for time spent with God.
