To plan our lives without God isn’t just unwise, he says that it’s evil, it’s sinful.

Today, Pastor Chris brought a message about spending our time on nothing but the best of what God has for us. He taught that God absolutely cares about how we make decisions and that the Sin of Presumption is making life choices apart from seeking and submitting to the will of God.

Our perspective is limited, our flesh is deceitful, our time is short, and our enemy is a liar. How will your choices this week reflect that reality?

James 4:11 “Do not speak evil against one another,”

Today, Pastor Chris brought a powerful message on our words from James 4 that everyone needs to hear. He said that it is absolutely vital that we are careful about the words we speak about and toward other people. Negativity has consequences that we need to be aware of but bringing the Truth in love can bring life.

Our words matter in everything that we do. How will you live that way this week?

God is far more interested in our character than our comfort. 

Pastor Chris was back in the pulpit today and taught on the causes and cures of our conflicts from James chapter 4! He said that our mission is to transform the world, not to be conformed by it. When pleasure becomes the purposeof your life, you’ve missed the mark!

The cure for the causes of our conflict is more grace. How will you live in order to encounter that grace this week?

Today we have the honor of welcoming friend of Destiny Church Andy Wood to share what the Lord has been speaking to him. He taught that it is up to us as believers to preach Christ and Him crucified and allowing that to be what overcomes our differences.

Christians in America have so many things to be divided over, but the risen King should bring us together every time. That is what really matters.

How we communicate matters as much as what we communicate.

In part 16 of our Resilient series, Pastor Chris brought a powerful message on the quality of our communication and the content of our heart. He said that God has called us to live in the light, not in the darkness of deceit and that earthly wisdom is about short-term gains and long-term losses.

With that understanding, how will you approach your communication and the state of your heart this week?

Be the light and drive out the darkness

Today we heard from our very own Pastor Daniel Sutton and he brought a powerful message about being both the salt and the light in the world around us, pointing others to Jesus. As salt and light, we disinfect, we add flavor, we create thirst, we get rid of darkness, we see the way and we show the way out.

How will you choose to be the salt and light to the world around you this week?

If you aren’t able to control your mouth, you’re probably not going to be able to control the rest of your body either.

Pastor Chris brought a powerful message on James 3 today about the power of the tongue. He taught that the tongue is accountable, powerful, and inconsistent and that if we learn to control it, the rest of our bodies will follow. 

If what we’re saying dishonors God, then what we’re saying has a dark source. How will you shift your thinking and speaking this week to reflect honor toward God and those He loves?

When we’re honest, we build trust and credibility with those that we lead.

Today, Pastor Chris continued in our Resilient series with a powerful message about teaching, prudence, humility, and honesty. When we lead with honesty, we build trust, foster open communication, promote accountability, and honor God.

Faith that is not seen is faith that is not alive.

Pastor Chris brought a powerful message on this Father’s Day about faith in action. He taught that the depth of our sin shows the height of God’s grace. Genuine faith compels us to act, to serve, to love, and to make an impact.

Our actions are the evidence of our faith, not the means of our salvation. How will your actions reflect your faith this week?

You were created to live by faith, so don’t die in the desert.

Pastor Chris set up James 2 today with a message about faith. Seeing things the way God does changes everything. Faith doesn’t require an explanation or an understanding. Faith simply believes.
