Resilient (Part 14)

When we’re honest, we build trust and credibility with those that we lead.

Resilient (Part 13)

Faith that is not seen is faith that is not alive.

Pastor Chris brought a powerful message on this Father’s Day about faith in action. He taught that the depth of our sin shows the height of God’s grace. Genuine faith compels us to act, to serve, to love, and to make an impact.

Our actions are the evidence of our faith, not the means of our salvation. How will your actions reflect your faith this week?

Resilient (Part 12)

You were created to live by faith, so don’t die in the desert.

Pastor Chris set up James 2 today with a message about faith. Seeing things the way God does changes everything. Faith doesn’t require an explanation or an understanding. Faith simply believes. 

If you have a big God, your problems will seem small. How will your perspective change how you live today? 

Resilient (Part 11)

We’re called to extend the same grace and mercy to others that God extended to us.

We continued in our Resilient series today with a powerful message about favoritism, inclusivity, and diversity. When we seek to be understood, rather than to understand each other, we stunt our growth as believers. 

When we show favoritism or bias, we fail to see others through God’s eyes and instead judge them based on our limited and often flawed perspectives.

Resilient (Part 10)

The presence of hypocrisy does not negate the truth of the Gospel.

Pastor Chris brought a powerful message today in our Resilient series about challenging our hearts to bring real change. Behavior modification will only get you so far but if we guard our hearts, we won’t have to be so concerned with guarding our words.

Our adversary, the devil, is working around the clock to get you to step away from your faith. Will you fall into his trap this week? Will you refuse to compromise?

Resilient (Part 9)

Don’t just admire the Word of God, but let it transform you.

This week Pastor Chris brought incredible wisdom in the 9th installment of our Resilient series. He taught on the importance of the scriptures and that God will never contradict His truth. God extends His grace so that we may live in freedom from sin, not freedom to sin.

Obedience to God’s commands leads to a blessed life. How will you choose to walk in obedience this week?

Mother's Day (Pastor Jodi Tomlinson)

Today we had the honor of hearing from one of our Senior Pastors, Jodi Tomlinson. She taught a beautiful and powerful message on transformation and resilience in the face of difficulty from the book of James. Pastor Jodi reminded us this morning that when we want to make comparisons, we need to start by looking in the mirror.

Resilient (Part 7)

Temptation is the enticement to commit sin and embrace evil.

This week we dove back in to our Resilient series with a powerful teaching on temptation. The Bible says that “each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed” (James 1:14). In order to avoid being lured away by what specifically entices us, we have to be sure of where we’re fixing our eyes. We have to know our own heart.

The Resurrection of Expectation (Miles Phelps)

Today we had the honor and privilege of welcoming the head and founder and organization we support called City for the Nations, Miles Phelps. In addition to giving a missions update, he taught that God desires to bring a resurrection of expectation.
