Come and See (Easter)

If Jesus chose the cross, then a grave was never going to hold Him in. Before the stone was removed, victory had already been secured.

Unshakeable (Part 41)

Maturity is proven by what flows through you, not just what settles in you.

Pastor Chris was back in the pulpit and preached a message so powerful that we have no choice but to take it and run with it. He taught that healthy believers don’t just grow roots… they produce fruit. If your walk with Jesus only benefits you… it hasn’t fully matured yet.

Pastor Jacob, our College and Young Adult Pastor, took the pulpit this morning with a powerful message about acting out our faith through the story of Joseph.

He taught that the storms we weather are about more than our temporary comfort or discomfort. They are about more than our own circumstances or platform. They are about what God intends to do in the world through you.

Will you choose faithfulness for the sake of obedience to God this week?

Unshakeable (Part 40)

If Christ isn’t at the center of your life, something else will be.

Pastor Chris brought a powerful message today about how we are to love, serve, and receive others, especially when they view things differently than we do. He taught that unity doesn’t mean we agree on everything. Unity means that Jesus is bigger than the things we disagree about. 

The church should be the easiest place in the world to find grace. Are you offering the same grace you were extended in Christ today?

Unshakeable (Part 39)

The church should feel more like a family and less like a courtroom.

Pastor Chris brought a powerful message about Holy Spirit and how he transforms our lives as we relate to others. He taught that when you remember that God is the judge, it becomes a lot easier to stop acting like one.

Jesus welcomed you at your worst and discipled you into your best. Will you stop play Holy Spirit in others’ lives and instead offer the grace that was offered to you?

Unshakeable (Part 38)

Loving like Jesus isn’t cheap. It’s sacrificial.

Pastor Chris Tomlinson dug into Romans chapter 13 this morning and brought a powerful, transformative message on love. He taught that love isn’t something you fall into. It’s something you step into, on purpose, every single day and that love fulfills what the law commands.

The devil doesn’t have to destroy you if he can distract you. Will you choose active love instead of distraction this week?

Unshakeable (Part 37)

Authority doesn’t reveal who you are when it agrees with you. Authority reveals who you are when it presses on you.

Pastor Chris was back in the pulpit today with a timely message about authority, submission, and the ways in which the Lord reveals Himself through all of it. He taught that God is sovereign over authority – even when authority is imperfect, submission is about order – not blind obedience, and honor is our witness – even when we disagree.

God is far more concerned with how we walk through a season than how fast we get out of it. How will you allow that fact to guide your decision making this week?

The Table of Remembrance (Dr. Elton Brooke)

Dr. Elton Brooke, on of our elders and Care Pastor here at Destiny Church, filled our podium today and brought a message about the importance and beauty of communion.

He taught that communion is the lens through which we see everything as believers and challenged us to really think about what Jesus meant when He said "Do this in remembrance of me."

Recovering All: When God Turns Resistance Into Revival (Miles Phelps)

Today we welcomed longtime friend of Destiny Church, Miles Phelps! Miles leads the ministry City for the Nations, which seeks to engage the church to reach the unreached with the Gospel. 

He brought an incredible update about how the Lord is moving all across the world in mighty ways and in that, he taught on breakthrough. More than physical breakthrough, we are facing a revival that starts with Heaven!

God will turn resistance into revival. Will you stand firm while He moves on your behalf?

Unshakeable (Part 36)

Peace isn’t the absence of conflict, it’s the presence of restraint.

Pastor Chris brought the next part in our Unshakeable series this morning and it is a teaching that you absolutely don’t want to miss. He taught that the world doesn’t read the Bible until it first reads you, so it matters how we present our heart to the world. Blessing someone doesn’t reconcile the relationship. It releases your soul.

You don’t just stumble into honor. You have to intentionally recite it. How will you demonstrate honor this week?
